Learn how to expand your organization's volunteer base by utilizing student internships as part of the volunteer recruitment plan. Listen to insights and advice on recruitment and supervising interns, setting goals and objectives, coaching, and achieving the best performance.

SPEAKER: Dr. Alicia Battle Ph.D., MCHES
Dr. Alicia L. Battle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health/College of Education and Health Services. Prior to joining the faculty at Benedictine, Dr.Battle was also Assistant Professor at Governors State University in University Park, IL. She earned a PhD. from Southern IL University and Master of Science in Public and Community Health. She also holds Master Certification in Health Education.
She and DAVA member Bette Lawrence Water co-teach Community Health Analysis at Dalian Medical University in Dalian China as part of the Benedictine University MPH Program Partnership.
Dr. Battle is a dynamic and experienced speaker. Her energetic style will leave you wanting to hear more! She has recently returned from leading a group is students and volunteers on a service mission trip to the Village of Imiliwaha, in Tanzania on behalf of the Ben U MPH Program.
Dr. Battle has extensive experience in recruitment, training, and coaching student workers and interns.
She will answer questions on where to find interns, conducting internship interviews, evaluation, and motivation.
