Monthly Meeting-April 24

Registration

  • If you are a current DAVA member in good standing, there is no charge to attend monthly meetings. Each guest you choose to bring will be charged $5.
  • If you are not currently a member of DAVA but would like to attend one of our monthly sessions, please register. All guests are charged a $5 fee. However, if you choose to join DAVA within two months of attending, that fee will be applied toward your membership costs.

As a volunteer administrator, your professional skills certainly contribute to your continued success. But without excellent presentation skills, a career can stall. Whether you’re addressing your team, volunteers, your boss or your board of directors, how you present is critically important to your career success. "From PowerPoint to the Podium" is an interactive presentation designed to help you polish your presentation skills, from overcoming nerves and developing stage presence to tips and techniques for powerfully connecting with your audience. We’ll also talk about how presentation skills can support you in your own career development.
Our presenter, Vickie Austin, is a business and career coach and founder of CHOICES Worldwide (www.choicesworldwide.c0m). Vickie has used presentation skills strategically throughout her own career and she’s now a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and a “Dean” of NSA-IL’s Speakers Academy. Vickie coaches professionals in mid-career transition as well as business owners taking their companies to the next level, and she speaks all over the country on topics related to business and career success.
