"Maximize Volunteer Impact--Assess Your Volunteer Program or Measuring the Performance of Your Volunteer Program"

At the Executive Service Corps of Chicago (ESC), we know that a nonprofit cannot succeed without a strong core of volunteers.  For some organizations, volunteers are part of their business model.  This workshop will share best practices for getting good, reliable performance and results from your volunteer program. Participants will take a look at the importance of assessment, the first step to improving volunteer impact.  Everyone will receive a benchmark assessment tool and learn how it can be used in their volunteer program to enhance volunteer satisfaction while reaching program objectives for the organization.

About ESC- ESC is a nonprofit that helps other nonprofits and public agencies to build their boards, create or update their strategic plan, find new sources of revenue and assess their operation to meet current and future challenges.  ESC consultants are leaders in their field, bringing expertise from successful careers and volunteering their time and talent to the nonprofit community through ESC engagements.  ESC is proudly celebrating its 35th year of service and partnership with nonprofit clients.  www.esc-chicago.org.

Speakers: Yvette Schmidt and Bob Dwyer

Bob Dwyer-Bio

Prior to joining ESC, Bob Dwyer held the position of Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at Fleishman and Hillard. He has extensive experience in the utility sector, with expertise in crisis management, strategic planning, communications, media affairs, public relations, operational leadership, and marketing. He has a Master's Degree in Communications from Northwestern University.

Some of Bob's ESC clients include Rebuilding Exchange, Universidad Popular, and La Casa Norte. He has completed ESC training in Consulting, Board Development, Urgent Action Team, Project Tech Tools, and Volunteer Management, a course he facilitates for his peers.
