The January meeting is DAVA's annual membership meeting to review the 2021 Board plan. Followed by a great presentation from our AVA partner Tyrone Dobson, Senior Volunteer Manager - Alliance of the Great Lakes. Presentation Description: Good Bye 2020, Hello 2021! As the new year approaches, many of us will begin to think about goals we have for 2021. Let’s be honest, last year was rough. So as you begin to think about what you want to accomplish in 2021, we want to share some innovative approaches to goal setting.
Tyrone Dobson, Senior Volunteer Engagement Manager - Alliance for the Great Lakes As Volunteer Manager, Tyrone is responsible for overseeing all of the organization’s volunteer programs. This includes the Alliance Ambassador program, the Alliance’s Chicago Young Professional Councils, and Adopt-a-Beach, which engages over 15,000 volunteers in beach clean-ups across the eight-state Great Lakes region. Tyrone brings a wealth of experience in volunteer management and has worked with volunteers from all socioeconomic backgrounds in the United States and Canada.
